Nothing leaves the device
This is not a privacy promise, it is a description of the app. CutPA makes no network connections at all. There is no server to send anything to, no account to create, no analytics and no third-party code.
Which matters if your employer restricts what goes on a work phone, or if you would simply rather your company's footage was not routed through somebody else's infrastructure on its way to being cut.
Vertical, or portrait
The same shape under two names. A phone held upright shoots portrait video; the people posting it mostly call it vertical. Either way it is the shape that fills a phone screen, and it is the only shape this app works in.
CutPA exports both of the portrait shapes that matter: 9:16 full-screen vertical, and 4:5 portrait, which takes up more of a scrolling feed without being cropped.
What it does
- Import several clips from your photo library.
- Trim, split, delete, reorder on a timeline that is drawn to time, so what you see is the length you get.
- Auto-trim every clip to two, three or four seconds in one tap. It only shortens; it never stretches.
- Captions, generated on the device from the audio, with a correction screen so you can fix a name before anything renders.
- Export full-screen vertical at 9:16, or 4:5 portrait for the feed. Captions move to clear each destination's interface.
- Undo, thirty steps deep, and your project is still there tomorrow.

The one difference is a small CutPA mark in the corner of what you export. One payment of €9.99 removes it for good — or, if you prefer, replaces it with your own company name or web address on every video you make. That is the entire paid tier.
You are never asked before you export, and you are never stopped from exporting.
What it does not do
No account, no sign-in, no email address. No cloud, no sync, no tracking. No music library, no filters, no stickers, no templates. No subscription, no trial, no timers, no ads.
Free video editors follow a shape: launch simple, acquire users with no revenue, add a subscription, then add features to justify the subscription. CutPA has one payment and no recurring anything, so there is no revenue to chase and no roadmap to defend. It stays the size it is. Bugs get fixed. Features do not get added.
