CutPA does not collect any data.
Nothing of yours. Your video, your audio, your captions and your project never leave the iPhone. There is no server of ours, no account, no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising and no third-party code in the app.
The one exception is Apple's own App Store, which handles the purchase that removes the watermark. That is a conversation between your iPhone and Apple; we are not part of it, we receive no data from it, and the app works fully without ever making it.
Because nothing of yours is transmitted, there is nothing to share with anyone, and no one to share it with.
Your project — which clips you chose, where you trimmed them, the order you put them in, your captions and your chosen export format — is saved inside the app on your device so that it survives closing the app. Copies of the video you imported are kept in the app's own storage while you are working on the project.
All of it is removed when you delete the app.
Choosing clips uses Apple's photo picker, which runs outside the app. CutPA receives only the clips you select and is never granted access to the rest of your library.
Saving a finished video does require permission, and it is permission to add to your library only. The app cannot read your photos with it.
Captions are produced by Apple's on-device speech framework. Your audio is transcribed on the iPhone itself and is not sent to Apple, to us, or to anyone else.
The app is free. A single one-time purchase removes the watermark from exports, and it is handled entirely by Apple. Payment details never reach the app, and we never see who bought it — the app asks Apple whether this Apple Account owns the unlock and receives only yes or no.
If you choose to put your own company name or web address in place of the mark, that text is stored on your device and nowhere else.
The app collects nothing from anyone, of any age.
If this policy ever changes, the date above changes with it.
